The Trailblazer series has been on my and my family's bookshelves for as long as I can remember. I have fond memories of going to a local bookstore, seeing all of the Trailblazer books on the shelf, and dreaming of which book I would want to read next. There are so many to choose from which is a perfect problem for any bookworm!
If I had to give an example of what these books are like, I would say that they are similar to Geoff & Janet Benge Christian Heroes: Then & Now series. However, instead of being written as a biography, these stories are written from a child's perspective of true events and people. Each story focuses on a Christian hero of faith like Marcus & Narcissa Whitman, Mary McLeod Bethune, David Zeisburger, Frederick Douglass, Samuel Morris, John Wesley and so many more!
They are full of adventures, danger, and examples of people who gave everything to further God's kingdom.
These books would be a perfect addition to unit studies on subjects around the world or exploring other countries.
