I thought it was time to share another favorite series of mine. 👌
The Fatherless trilogy by Dr. James C. Dobson is fictional, however, he writes from years of experience working with families and watching trends of the present-day world.
Set in the year 2042, this series is a bit more futuristic than what I usually read, but the messages that are shared are ones we all need to hear, no matter how much they may step on our toes.
The text is very descriptive and the stories can be a bit heavy at times due to the sobering picture the author portrays of what could, very possibly, be our future.
Like I always say, sharing adult books is always a bit more intimidating than sharing kids' books. 😏 Please use your judgment for what fits your family.
Let me know if you've read this trilogy and what your thoughts are about it! 🤍
Rating: ☆☆☆☆
☆ star = highly disliked & probably didn't finish.
☆☆ stars = wouldn't recommend.
☆☆☆ stars = mostly good but may have some concerns.
☆☆☆☆stars = very good.
☆☆☆☆☆ stars = reserved for my absolute favorite books.
Recommended Ages: Adult
Valuable Lessons: There are so many sprinkled throughout all three stories. The biggest thing these books portray is the way our choices affect others: for good or bad.
Questionable Content: These stories have some heavy aspects. To give a picture of how far our world could fall, the author cuts right to the chase about subjects such as pornography, assisted suicide, infidelity, and much more. Please keep that in mind as you read.
